FOSTERING COMMUNITY

The PMTA Mentorship Program was created to strengthen our sense of community and support among members. By connecting newer members with experienced mentors, we aim to foster growth, share knowledge, and encourage collaboration within our musical family.

This program is intentionally flexible and low-pressure, focusing on relationship-building rather than formal requirements.

Why We Offer a Mentorship Program

Mentors
Experienced PMTA members who enjoy encouraging others, sharing insight, and supporting fellow teachers.

Mentees
Members seeking connection, guidance, or support - whether new to teaching, new to PMTA, or simply looking to grow.

Participation is optional and offered on a year-by-year basis.

What to Expect

  • Friendly check-ins (about once a month)
  • Communication that works for you (email, text, phone, or Zoom)
  • No required meetings, reports, or paperwork

Ready to Get Involved?

If you're interested in participating as a mentor or mentee, complete the Mentorship Interest Form below. Submitting the form does not commit you to anything - it simply helps us create thoughtful, supportive pairing.
